Company Profile
We started from a humble beginning with the incorporation of Meditec Trader in
1985. The aim was to bring in good quality and affordable karaoke microphones
to the consumer market, in tandem with the boom in the karaoke market.
With the success in the distribution of karaoke microphones and peripherals in
the Singapore market, we started to source for more audio products, such as
headphones, audio mixers, and speakers for distribution in the Singapore
market.
In 1991, we recognized the market potential in Malaysia, and a representative
office was set up in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. With the representative office in
Johor Bahru, we are able to respond swiftly to the needs and demands of our
customers in Malaysia. Our customer base in Malaysia expanded rapidly and we
managed to build strong, strategic alliances with our customers.
With the expansion in our business operations, there was a need to reposition
ourselves, and Meditec Trader was converted to Meditec Trader Pte Ltd.
To achieve the volume and the economies of scale, we expanded our distribution
business to the Indonesia market in 1995.
Our product range caters to both the consumer and the pro-audio markets in
Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Currently, we are the sole agent for Mipro, Sherwood, Pro. 2, FBT, Kempton, BSD and Tach
products. We offer a wide range of audio products, including headphones,
microphones, public address systems, speaker systems, DVD players, CD players,
AV receivers, amplifiers, and cassette decks, amongst others.
We are renowned for our sincere and trustworthy business practices, and
commitment to providing good value added services to our customers locally and
overseas. We are now a significant player in the wholesale and distribution of
consumer and pro-audio products in Singapore and Malaysia.
